Giving Thanks
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name....Sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

Giving thanks is a Christian's natural attitude. It is one mark that separates believers from everyone else. The Christian thanksgiving comes from knowing that God is in control of everything-the entire universe, our world, local events, and the personal things in our lives.
Lots of things amaze me about God, but the one thing that effects me the most is that while God is big and powerful, he also has a personal relationship with me. He knows me and my situation. He knows my name, my temptations, my struggles, and my celebrations.
Many people are powerful, but few are willing or even able to notice one lone individual. But God knows me better than I know myself. He has counted the very hairs on my head. Who would take the time to find out that kind of detail?
God loves me and he is my Father. And because he loves me, knows me and claims me as his child, I must fall on my knees in the posture of thanksgiving. It only makes sense. To do anything else but respond with thanksgiving would be foolish and thoughtless.
The more we are thankful, the more we discover to be thankful for. Realizing one blessing in your life will lead to the discovery of many others. In our time together this month, let's try to discover the countless people and things for which we must thank our wonderful God.
PRAYER:Father, help us to see your hand at work in our lives. Help us see your blessings and grant us the wisdom to return glory and honor and praise to You. In Christ, Amen.

你們要稱謝耶和華…要向他唱詩歌頌，談論他一切奇妙的作為。

「感恩」是基督徒內在心態的自然流露，也是基督徒有別於非基督徒的地方。基督徒懂得感恩，是因為認識神是萬物的主宰→祂掌管整個宇宙，掌管世界，掌管我們身邊發生的事，甚至掌管我們個人的生命。
神諸般的作為誠然令我驚歎，而我感觸最深的是：這樣一位偉大的全能神，竟然與我有個別的關係。祂知道我和我的境遇、我的名字、我面對的試探、我的掙扎並我的歡樂。
世界上有權位的人很多，但卻鮮有願意或懂得關注個別心靈的人。然而，神認識我比我認識自己更深，祂甚至數算過我有多少根頭髮。試問，有誰願意這麼細緻地認識我？
神愛我，祂是我的天父。正因為祂愛我，認識我，收納我為祂的兒女，我就欣然屈膝跪下，獻上我的感謝。也唯有這樣才是合宜的！如果我不懂得向祂感恩，我就是個愚昧無知的人了。
我們愈感恩，便愈會發現有更多的事情是值得感恩的。因為發現生命中的一個祝福，就會連帶讓我們繼續發現其他的祝福。就讓我們一同發掘奇妙的神藉著無數的人與事所帶給我們的種種福氣吧！
禱告：父啊，求教我們看到您大能的手如何在我們生命裡作工，幫助我們看到您的祝福。賜給我們智慧的心，曉得把榮耀及讚美歸給您。奉耶穌的名求，阿們。
